After an unreal week of incredible racing success and fun and high spirits (and high stress), Clare Hall women bumped FOUR TIMES in FOUR DAYS and therefore won blades - the highest honor you can win in May Bumps! This is our third year of winning blades and wow, the races this year were the most exciting ever! This photo shows our boat racing, with crowds of spectators on the bank and our four "bank parties" (people who cheer and help the rowers push off the bank to start, etc) on bikes. (I'm the second cyclist from the left.)
Then we all jumped in the Cam to celebrate our blades. (I'm somewhere on the left, or maybe underwater? Grooooooss. :) )
Then we celebrated some more. :)
Then we had a Boat Club Dinner with group photos and funny speeches and presents for the leaders - how cool are our hoodies?! It somehow makes a year of dealing with bullshit worth it when you get a present at the end...
It was an experience of a lifetime to organize a boat club, to infiltrate the bizarre world of Cambridge rowing, and to be a leader for people I really look up to (including our president, Alex, above). I am incredibly lucky to get that chance. And I am SUPER HAPPY that it was a success and that it's over. :)

Big love to a big year!!! What a cool thing to have done and then be able to say, Rowing? Yeah, I've done it - it's not all that and a bag of chips. (Although the rest of us think it is!)
